If you’ve ever been scrolling through Pinterest, you’d know what it’s like to spend hours browsing through kitchen idea boards. It always inspires us to completely revamp our own! Luckily, you don’t need to remodel the entire kitchen to have it looking like a million bucks.
JR Carpentry & Tile was called to Sicklerville by an inspired homeowner who wanted a beautifully transformed kitchen without the full overhaul
It’s out with the old before coming in with the new! We began by removing the existing island, pantry closet, and oven hood. This gave us a ton of space to work with and we could start envisioning how the final project would turn out.
We then turned our focus to the floors. We upgraded the old floor tiles from the kitchen to the dining area with faux wood tiles. The beautiful material looks just like cherry oak, bringing instant warmth to the room.
Another way to upgrade your room is to do some rearranging! We installed a standalone pantry where the refrigerator used to be. This uses the space more efficiently and gives the homeowners additional storage. Plus, the dark wood pantry looks beautiful against the wall and new floor tiles. The fridge was installed where the old pantry closet used to be. The open floor space makes the kitchen look so much bigger!
Kitchen appliances can also add to the beauty of the cooking area. We replaced the old oven with a stunning new model and installed an over-the-range microwave with a small cabinet above. This combination immediately adds a touch of luxury to the room! On top of this, we always make sure everything we install functions perfectly. For this particular project, the microwave was vented to the exterior, removing any cooking smells and gases away from the house.
To give the room more character, we installed a cream-colored tile backsplash and replaced the old Formica countertops to match the backsplash. The cream shade stands out beautifully against the dark floors and the blue walls.
For the finishing touch, a new island was installed featuring a base that matches the flooring and a countertop that matches the tile backsplash. The kitchen now has a cohesive color palette, making the room look that much more polished. The new island also features a bookshelf cabinet, a garbage, and recycling for convenience.
The homeowners no longer need to look to Pinterest for interior inspiration – all they need to do is walk into their revamped kitchen! Our experts were with them every step of the way to give them the kitchen of their dreams.
